I have been a caregiver for approximately 6 years now. I decided to become a caregiver because i believe that everyone deserves a good quality of life. I had a grandmother who lived to be 112 years of age and i took on the responsibility of caring for her. i am very compassionate about what i do and i do it to the best of my knowledge. My passion in life is to care for others, helping those who need to get better to be better and also for those who just need the companionship and making the transition easy for them. i have worked with various clients of all different age and i love what i do. I am a graduate student with a degree in psychology and planning on furthering my education. i have a 6 year old daughter and i am very family oriented. I am fully dedicated to my work and i guarantee my employers will have no regrets.

I am proud of myself being a caregiver for 20 plus year. I have enjoyed helping elderly because they are just like my own parents. I am an honest and very dependable person. Helping others is always my compassion.

I'm a great caregiver because I love to provide the best possible care for Seniors. I now live in Carrollton, Texas. I have love and compassion for each client that I care for. We also are reaching that stage in life that will soon require someone to care for us. My theory is that if I provide good care for a Client then someday if I reach that point the same will be done for me.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping others, I don't look at what I do as work because I enjoy it so much I enjoy the different people that I meet and the different things I learn. I worked as caregiver in Chicago for over 3 years then moved because of my spouse job relocation. I took care of my mother who was diagnosed with lungs disease and had breathing problems where she couldn't really do anything on her own. I bathe her, Fed her, and did everything for her and since then When she passed away I continue to give my love and affection to others who needs care. I'm currently working as caregiver in Plano area and still want to work according to the schedule that fits my daily routine. I'm currently taking care of two elderly clients both with Alzheimer's disease. I remind them to take their pills. I cook meals, light house cleaning. Help them in shower and dress them up. I travel to their homes/ apartment or sometimes senior living facilities. If they have pets I changed for example the cat litter box and fed the cat. For dogs take them out to potty and fed them too.I love my job. I'm a hairdresser so if needed I could give them haircuts and style. I'm also in the process of getting my CNA class done. I also worked with a private client for a week, she can't walk so I was taking care of her to get her cleaned up, feeding her, taking care of her pets. Cooking, cleaning. She's paralyzed so she can only move her arms and in bed a lot. I loved working with her. Her husband was out of town so she had me work for her till he got back.

I have been a caregiver for the past 10 years. I have been a nanny on and off for 10 years for children from 3-11 years old. I am a mother of a 10 year old. My main employment now is senior care, I started off working for my elderly neighbor so she could stay home and not move out of state, I still care for her. I now work with an elderly dementia client. Caregiving comes natural to me. With my great listening skills, compassion, understanding of the persons needs and feelings makes me a great asset. When I work with people who need my care, I have an understanding that they need my help, my patience, understanding and my constant smile on my face. Also my love for animals, being a mom and a volunteer, and love of cooking all contribute to me being a great caregiver and why I chose this profession. Caregiving is a rewarding job and I absolutely love it!

I lived with my great grandma for 2yrs I took care of her, I took care of my mom with brain cancer until she passed away, I lived with and took care of my grandpa until he passed away.
