Job Title: Caregiver and companion for young adult with special needs Location: Jupiter, FL Job Type: 30-36/week Position Overview:Seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to provide personal support for late 20s young man with special needs. This position requires caregivers to provide physical, emotional and social support and to ensure consistent safety and well-being in a loving family home, with a people-first, team approach to caregiving. Key responsibilities include: • Grooming, dressing and feeding, bathroom and showering; • Meal preparation (not cooking); • Seizure care (included in training); • Administering medications and record keeping (included in training); • Transportation to appointments and community activities; • Companionship for recreational and social activities; • Effective communication with family members and healthcare providers. Qualifications: • Experience working with children or adults with special needs; • Physical ability to provide comprehensive personal care; • Ability to manage some behavioral challenges with patience and understanding; • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; • CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or to be provided in training); • Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends.
