I am seeking a compassionate and dedicated respite provider located near Pacific City, OR to help care for my female relative. I would LOVE a day-long break or even an overnight sitter, but I am happy to work with your schedule. Due to partial paralysis, 80-year-old Aunt Joani has a motorized wheel chair. She can be transferred to the toilet for urination however she does wear diapers so this is not a necessity. She takes an afternoon nap for about 2 hours, it would be nice if you could transfer from her chair to the bed. She weighs about 85lbs and I (who had no previous care giving experience) can transfer her easily. No fancy cooking required, I can arrange heat & serve type meal(s) beforehand. Joani can feed herself but may require some foods to be cut up for her. She enjoys having someone watch TV with her -she loves mysteries, dramas and classic sitcoms.
