I first want to acknowledge YOU! I thank you and commend you for seeking the best care for your loved one. It seems, these days our elders are relocated, and forgotten. It is not always possible to care in the home--however you are giving it a shot. So you don't have to pick me, but pick someone...as long as you safely can provide care and love IN your home. I have always been interested in medicine. In kindergarten, my show and tell was about platelets. I have more than 35 hours in my nursing education, and I am in the top percent of my honors classes. I teach CPR and BLS, and I am certified by the National Institute of Health, (NIH) to administer the Stroke Scale test--trained to recognize the signs early--activate the emergency response system, (requesting TPA be considered early ((doctors/EMT director's decision)) based on existing heart condition and vitals), and transfer of care. My family members have survived major health events--I am always looked to as the one to handle those situations. (hospitals are not for everyone!) I have been involved in the home recovery of: five open heart surgeries, major and minor thrombolytic events, (stroke), traumatic brain injury. The management of; TBI, AFib, Sleep apnea, post op/wound care (aseptic techniques).. And I have 5 children ages 21-3, so you can imagine the injuries and ailments covered there.
