I became a caregiver because of my grandmother who passed away 5 years ago. I enjoy helping others who are in need of help, especially the elderly. My personal achievement was when I saved the life of my client when she was choking on a piece of almond. I was scared for her life, but I managed to keep calm and help her out. I've been in the caregiver field for about 7 years now. I was a PCP (personal care provider) but im currently working for Alta Home Care now. I've been with them for a lil over 6 months.

What made me become a caregiver was when my dad was in a recovery home and a patient next to him had no one to visit him and he was so sad. He said to me, "I wish I had a daughter like you". After finding out he had no one, I told him "You just got one". The smile and happiness on his face did it for me. I gave love, hug him and took little things to him he liked. My personal achievement that I am so proud of is writing and completing my book. I am a Domestic Violence survivor and my book tells my story. I am also proud and happy that I worked for 10 years working for ACTOR AND WRITER MR. SIDNEY REZNICK until he passed in 2004. I hope when I finally get it published, it can help someone. I love to help and care for defenseless people and give them as much love and happiness I can. I have been working as a caregiver for the past 15 years.
