My name is melissa, call me missy. I am a 47 yr old single mom of three kids, but only one left at home. I am a very caring compassionate individual. I have taken care of people from just being there as a companion up to total care, and I have also been with them until they take their last breath. I have been doing this for 15+ years, mostly independent private care. I have worked in nursing homes, but I prefer to do more one on one care. I find this to be very rewarding. It means alot to be able to make a difference in the lives of individuals and to be able to help their family know that their loved ones are cared for when they can't be there. I also took care of my own mother through stages of cancer during two terms. I am in this work because I care, not just for the paycheck. To be able to do those little things in the lives of others that cant do for themselves to make those big smiles means alot. When it comes to the big things I will always go that extra mile to satisfy those that have to depend on people like me. I have many references, personal and proffessional to share if called upon. I have done this work since as long as I can remember. Professionally since 2011. I enjoy helping others and try to treat them as if they are my family. I'm reliable and dependable. Very flexible. I'm a widow and have a grown daughter, a grandson, granddaughter, a great granddaughter and a great grandson.
