At age 52 after seeing how much help, compassion and empathy my parents needed in their later life, I decided to be a caregiver. I have enjoyed listening to clients reminiscing about their past wonderful life. I am ready to sympathize with them when they need someone to show empathy. I am ready to assist them achieve their activities of daily living like meal prep and eating, tooth brushing, bathing, and making sure they live in a clean and safe environment in their own homes. I can live in their homes and look after them, or spend hours with them, I can drive them to their doctor's appointments, hair salon and even to holidays if they require me to. I have been a CNA since I immigrated to the USA. During my first 10 years here, I worked as a CNA during the night and went to college during the day, took lots of classes, and finally graduated in Business Administration. I got a job in a county state office up North but I quit and returned to Nursing Assisting. I was married for 45 years, and divorced. I have 5 children and 15 grandchildren. I love assisting the elderly in their homes. Working with the elderly gives me such satisfaction in knowing what to expect sooner than later in life. I hope to live a healthy, happy, long life like some of my wonderful clients.
