I've been a caregiver since I was 15 years old. The 1st person was my great grandmother. My Grandmother is a ARNP, MN, RN. I learned from the best. I have been certified since I was 18. I have worked in long term facilities while living in Kansas until I moved back to Florida. While here I have worked for an Agency for the last 6 years. The students, staff, and parents at any school I work at are always pleased with my work and the way I handle the students (I call them my babies). So i tell them I treat them like my very own. Working in the schools is one of the most rewarding jobs I've had even though I have amazing stories and memories with my residents and patients wether in a nursing home or hospital. Just knowing I helped someone who needed it warms my heart. Seeing the smile on their face is all I need but when I hear how much they appreciate it, it makes up for all the body fluids I've had on me or the punches from combative patients.
