Hello, my name is Scott. I retired from the fire department in 2014, and became a caregiver after taking care of my wife who had cancer. I have been in the medical field for almost 25 years, working in the ER and ICU on my days off. Arizona Heart Hospital was my favorite! I am an Advanced EMT with CPR and numerous certifications. Phlebotomy, G-tube, Foley Catheter placement and care, to name a few. I have also recently worked with elderly that needed a little extra TLC. I have taken care of wonderful people who have had Dementia, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's. I am a very patient individual who understands the needs of your loved ones. Bed baths, preparing meals and feeding, giving daily medications (liquid, pills, & injections), dressing, shaving, wound care, housework, and of course documentation are some of the responsibilities that I'm used to. I retired from the fire department to take care of my wife, who was battling cancer. We made it through the long struggle. My wife suggested that I should help others. I started working with several patients who had Dementia, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's. I find it truly rewarded to offer compassionate care for these wonderful individuals. I was well trained when I worked at Arizona Heart Hospital in the ICU. I can do bed baths, tube feeding, foley catheter placement and care, wound care, medical documentation, meal preparation, administering medications (orally and injections), and numerous other things.
