I have been a Caregiver for over 14 years. I have worked for the Airlines and did CAD at Boeing Commercial Airlines and have had other careers, however, I have found that being a Caregiver is by far the most fulfilling. I have had the privilege of being a Caregiver for many wonderful clients and found each one a bit different than the other but have found joy in each one. I would consider it a privilege to serve the needs of other's and to be able to interview and meet any new potential clients so please feel free to reach out to me. The traits that make me a great Caregiver is my reliability, patience, diligence, and care and compassion. I realize that taking care of another is about their world and participating there. It's not about me. That's why I have found success in this field. I have had a Course in Memory Care which has helped in taking care of those with dementia or alzheimers disease. I have had CPR training and first aid training and have a Security Clearance Card. I have excellent references that will help in determining whether you would feel comfortable hiring me as your Caregiver or that of your family.

I have the opportunity of assisting three people in this home. I do tasks of assisting in the mobility of one of the clients. She needs much more assistance than the other two. My goal is to assist all three in the best manner that I can to make them happy. I do laundry, I cook and prepare snacks. I do cleaning and stock necessary items for all three. Each of the clients have different needs and it's my privilege to assist in whatever areas that I can to make the clients comfortable and at ease.

Golden Hill Caregiver Services

I had the privilege of being a regular caregiver for a dear lady and was hand-picked by her daughter to be one of her full-time caregivers for three years before moving to Arizona. She had alzheimer's disease along with diabetes and parkinson's disease. I took care of her in a rest home setting 12 hours a day. Took her to activities, physical therapy, and to get her hair done at the beauty salon, took her to her meals at the Residence where she lived or outside to a local restaurant. Also took her to doctor and dentist appointments. She was in a wheelchair so I transferred her to and from her chair. As her health changed we assessed these changes and would keep her family up to date on our observations. Also, did light housekeeping, changed bedding, and gave her showers. Also helped her with her wardrobe and grooming. I developed a really wonderful relationship and friendship with this great lady and still talk on the phone regularly.

Seniors Helping Seniors

During the time that I worked for this Company I was assigned and stayed with one woman; She had the beginning stages of dementia. I was able to help her by being a companion and friend to her, gave her her medications, baked, cooked and did light housekeeping. I helped her with bathing, ironed and did her laundry. Occasionally I read to her, took her for rides in the Country, shopped for her, took her dog for walks, as well as took him to the Veterinary as needed, and to her doctor appointments and a few times to the hospital.

My Own Mother

I was privileged to take care of my own mother for 4 years. I assisted her with all of her health needs, doctor appointments, managed her medications. Helped her with her grooming, bathing, shopping for groceries as well as Antique Stores that she enjoyed doing. I prepared her meals, was a friend and comfort to her as well as a companion. I provided a loving and peaceful home and security for her as her dementia progressed into other health issues. I really enjoyed this time that I was able to spend with my mother and I know that she enjoyed this time with me as well.
