Hi! This next year I will be a senior nursing student at Azusa Pacific University. I have completed over 700 hours of clinical care doing rotations that allowed me to gain experience with direct observation, medical/surgical, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, oncology, mental health, public health, hospice, and clinic work. I have a passion for nursing and helping others! I take each day as an opportunity to care for and bring a smile to the faces of those around me. I am someone who is hardworking, diligent, detailed oriented, caring, positive, adaptive, and loving. When I was growing up, my mother was in the hospital a lot and faced at home recovery as well. Due to this, I saw the importance of the care she received and recognized that when her nurse cared for her emotional needs along with her physical needs, that she was able to recover faster and also have a better mindset. Because of this occurrence, I hope to be a nurse that makes a positive impact on not only the patients physical needs, but emotional needs as well, so that they may receive holistic care. I aim to care for all my patients as if they are my family members because I believe that any patient is deserving of the best care possible!
