My name is Vanessa Holland, I am a mother of 4 daughters and newly married to my amazing husband and partner now of 18 years. I take pride in the assistance that I give making sure that I do a thorough job being attentive to the needs of others. I'm easy to talk to, I enjoy conversations getting to know and learn the details of each person I come across. Being compassionate and hospitable is a quality in myself that I believe in because it brings me joy to see others happy & greatful that I can be of service to those in need. I've first started through being a full time mom taking care of my daughters while they were young. Seeing the demand of how much time was needed to taking care of children. It was not easy, but I was happy to learn and grow with my children along the way being their caregiver. I then took on helping my mother in law with house cleaning, organizing, cooking, grocery shopping, bathing, and helping her with some of her daily activities. I enjoy being able to create a space that gives comfort and joy to our elders because they once took care of us. And giving back that respect and honor to them is what they cherish when being cared for. Even if declining, & they may not fully comprehend what is going on, at least I can bring comfort and security to the loved ones of the elder for them to know that their relative is being taken care of by someone that they can trust. I am fairly new and still learning as a caregiver & hoping for more training along the way to help build a trust and dependability to the families or elder in need of care.
