I had the honor of providing care to a 7 year old boy who had CP, I realized how easily I made a connection and trust with him. He passed away 3 days before what would have been his 10 birthday, I knew at that moment being a professional caregiver was my true calling. I love the fact that I alone can have such a positive impact on people life's even when they are at their lowest point in life with health and circumstances, I still have the ability and desire to put a smile on their faces and hear them laugh. I love that at times all I have to do is be an ear for them to speak to or a hand to hold and something so small and free can brighten someones day, which in turn brightens mine. I spent three years doing private in home live-in care for an 81 year old man with stage 3 CHF and kidney failure, I also cared for is wife of 80 who has severe alzheimers. I am a 26 year old woman who loves to laugh, sing songs and help those in need. I can take direction or give direction both done with love and kindness. Two things i feel this world needs more of, I am not perfect but, but I am who I am and I try everyday to be the best I can not just for myself but for those around me, because I enjoy my career I am a hard worker and I am dependable.
