I have been a caregiver for over 40 years. I started very young. I Have worked in the medical field for many years. I was a medical assistant, Experience includes Radiology, Phlebotomy. I have worked in hospitals as well as privately as a caregiver. I speak 2 other languages , Spanish and Italian. I have knowledge of medications, first aid and CPR. I am experience in caring for people with Cancer,, Alzheimer, Parkinson, kidney dialysis, liver transplant Heart attacks, stoke, neuropathy diabetes, hypertension, and patients in hospice.

I was caregiver for 24years. All those years it's my independence years . I worked at the hospital, state licensed home, private home caregiver. I am extremely dependable and a hard worker. I have 2, 5 years of experience working with Dementia/Alzheimer's and lime disease, 10 years with Parkinson's disease patients in a facility setting (private homes too). My responsibilities assisting person with all activities of daily living, light housekeeping duties, cooking, feeding, bathing-dressing, companionship, transportation, errands-shopping, medication prompting....

I bacame a caregiver because I like to help people and also to meet new people. You learn something new everyday. became a caregiver because i worked at hospitals and so many of the elderly patients when going home had no one to care for them at home. so i decided and go out in that field of in home care and have been doing it for the last 22 yrs. what i like about being a caregiver is the fact that you work one on one and get to know the clients needs very well and i am not in a time clock or just a number as to working in facilities. Personal achievement is that i get so involved with the family n the elderly that after a while they are like family to me and i like going extra miles in helping out and not just for the amount of pay. i live in Sun City, CA. and have been very proud of myself in helping out the elderly because at the end of the day its always very rewarding.
