I became a Caregiver when I was 13. I cared for my quadrapledric neighbor for 5 years until her passing. After 18 years of being in the restaurant business,my best friend asked me if I could help take care of her Father who had stage 4 lung cancer. I agreed and went from part time to full time with him until his passing. Needless to say, I never returned to the restaurant business after finding Caregiving so rewarding and meaningful. I have been doing it now for 10 years and decided to further my education in nursing. I just graduated from LVN school and am planning on getting my RN. I believe I have found my calling. I enjoy everyday making a difference to patients and their families.
