My current position - I'm a PCA for a 86 year old man in WC. He has Parkinson's and Dementia. He's still very alert but at times has to be redirected. He's still up and walking very well, some days he can be a bit wobbly I stay very close to him while walking and exercising. He was an avid golfer and tennis player, he still has good leg strength. I give him a shower daily, assist him with dressing, assist him with brushing his teeth and grooming. He uses a walker and I'm always standing by to assist him. I do his laundry, make up his bed, tidy up his room, prepare lunch and dinner. He has 24 hour care. His private night caregivers prepare his breakfast and give him AM meds. We walk and exercise as recommended by Physical Therapy. He feeds himself and can take his meds w/o assistance just stand by to make sure they are all taken and that none are dropped on the floor.
