I have one year experience in an internship at an assisted living center in Modesto, California. I have also had a 6 month term working in dietary needs at a transitional care home in Turlock, California. After this I worked for two years in the in home health care setting in San Francisco, California. I am absolutely sure the care giving setting is right for me. I am currently a nursing student at San Francisco City College and love what I do. I am aspiring to become an R.N. and would like to continue working one on one with families and their loved ones in an in-home setting. I'm searching for a family that would like a PART-time caregiver. I prefer 8-12 hour shifts (negotiable with the right family!!). I am available weekends mostly, although weekday work is doable also would need to be negotiated. I can do overnights/consecutive days at a time as well. I'm experienced in ALL aspects of elderly in home care including but not limited to persons with: ALS, MS, tracheotomy, ventilators, Alzheimer's disease, quadriplegics, cerebral palsy, diabetes, medication reminders, feminine hygiene needs, showering and sponge bathing, toileting, bed pans, changing briefs for the incontinent persons, transitioning from bed to wheelchairs (and helping ambulate around the house), light housekeeping, light cooking, tube-fed persons and tube feeding machines, oxygen tanks, laundering, emptying trashes, spending quality time, and more!
