I was part of the team: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathologist - assisting the client with activities of daily living. I worked from 7 am - 5:30 pm - 3 to 4 days a week. I also was her companion. We went shopping, to the movies, to concerts and maybe just drive.

I cared for this client 7 days and on the weekends; I cared for her once in the morning and once in the evening. Personal care - patient was bedrest; medication management; companion.

Assist the Credentialed School Nurse in providing health screening and nursing assessment, health maintenance, monitoring and follow-up of students while working closely and coordinating with families, agencies, private and medical care organizations, and school staff. performs a wide range of health conditions and injuries and applying first aid or treatment as needed. Operates specialized medical equipment and instruments in the evaluation and treatment of student's health condition. To work in a team concept with teachers, administrators, speech therapists, psychologists, and the Credentialed School Nurse, who will be responsible for the health component of individual education plan (IEPs) in order to maximize the physical/educational potential of students. Understand and relate toward effective human relationships skills with families, schools, and communities. Assesses and assists students with seizures; checks for head lice, skin abnormalities, and other conditions and obtain vital signs. Communicates with school personnel and outside organizations to exchange information, refer students, report suspected child abuse, coordinate activities and resolve other health-related issues and concerns.
