I have really loved being a caregiver! The clients that I have cared for have taught me so many wonderful things like how to grow orchids, cooking recipes from the past, and how to face struggles. I love caring for people of all ages and have experiences both with elderly and young people. I love to learn new things and help improve the lives of those around me. I am a hard worker who is sensitive to the needs of others. As I cared for people I learned the joy of coming alongside others and helping them to see the good and possibility even in their present situation. I have been a stay home Mom who has brought her kids to serve others for ten years in a very low income housing project. We built a library that the kids in the projects ran themselves. We brought fellowship meals for the community, held basketball tournaments and did Bible Studies with the children. There were so many blessings that our family received as we served others. Now I hope to continue that service, as all of my kids move on to lives of their own. I look forward to seeing how I can help you and bring joy to your days too!!

I was a caregiver for an 85 year old woman who had had a stroke. She was unable to do anything for herself. I really enjoyed caring for her and bringing joy to her days! I did meal preps, bathing, a lift to get in and out of a wheelchair/bed, and all general care. I cleaned her house, helped with ordering groceries, did laundry, and all other miscellaneous tasks that she would need each day. I enjoyed bringing in books of interest, reading to her, taking her for walks in her neighborhood and finding things that stimulated her interests. It was a wonderful experience that brought me back to caring for people in my later years.

I cared for Jay's Mom who had had a terrible accident and had many challenges in daily life. She was on oxygen all the time, needed help with transfers, bathing, meal prep, transportation, and daily care. I helped maintain her house well so that others didn't need to come in and cover those tasks. I streamlined important care items by making lists that ensured that all of the needs would be maintained for care. I covered medical appointments, prescription pickups, vet appointment and other errands as needed. I enjoyed pursuing her interests in gardening with books, caring for indoor plants and experimenting with cooking recipes from her past. She had two small dogs that I walked, brushed, and helped care for because they brought so much joy to my client. This client passed away in July of 2021. I miss the joy I had in helping and bringing back meaning to this clients daily life. I am looking to serve another person who needs good overall care.

The personal achievements that I am most proud of are returning back to school, receiving a High School Diploma, and graduating from college with an Associate degree. I did something I never thought about doing, and I did it for my children and myself. I couldn't be more proud of myself for setting goals and seeing them through to the end.
