In the beginning it was the basic needs twice a week, & I could continue to work full-time. When mom had surgery, she needed wound care, feedings etc. At this time I was in between jobs, my mother was diagnosed with cancer & dementia, needed 24/7 care but she has always wanted to be with family, she was Japanese & felt more comfortable at home. Knowing I can help make somebody else be happier & especially elderly people. The personal achievement I am most proud of is knowing I can make a difference in the quality of an elderly persons life. I was born in Mesowa, Japan, my father was in the Air Force. My parents divorced here in Colorado Springs, my father raised my sister & I in Oklahoma, & I went on to college for a year at Phillips University while working at St Mary's Hospital in Oklahoma. I moved back to Colorado to be closer to my mother after having my first daughter, I've lived in Colorado Springs for almost 36 years. I have two daughters, 1 son, 8 grandchildren. I've been separated for 8 years. I can sew, do crafts occasionally, like gardening, getting my hands dirty, I enjoy hiking & outdoors, like listening to music & traveling, occasionally watch football, & basketball.
