About Elizabeth

Hi, I am a registered Care Provider with the state ID# 7507076149. I have been a care visitor since 2003. I care-visited a lady for 7 yrs, first as a volunteer, then paid before she went into assisted living. During this time, I held a job and attended college modules studying Gerontology. I have always been involved with caregiving. When my father passed, I decided that I would do what really matters to me which is caregiving. I'm now care-visiting full time. I enjoy knowing that I am truly making a difference everyday in someone's life as well as giving respite to families. I am responsible, punctual, take initiative, am patient, a good listener and I communicate well. I feel it's important that a person remain as independent as long as possible. I am happy to have you check my references. I have a clear TB test, a clear criminal background check drug screen and Covid vaccinated, which I would gladly provide proof of. I can also work with UHC clients. Thank you! My availability is M-Thurs, time is open.

I was a care visitor with this lovely lady for 4 years. When visiting this senior, I was responsible for medication reminders, exercise routines prepared by her physical therapist as client had Parkinson's and Dementia, she was87. I prepared lunch and did light housework. Client lived with her daughter and son-in-law. I transported client to Dr. Appts, salon visits and errands as needed. We attended church to walk daily, participate in a bible prayer circle along with helping to fold the church newsletter which helped client's dexterity and kept her feeling productive. We attended a monthly community movie day, visited the library and other activities which kept client engaged. I loved her very much.

I visited with this senior for 3 years. John was an 88 year old gentleman with slight Parkinson's and dementia. I prepared meals, played simple games, accompanied him outside to garden/play with his dog, encourage exercise which is directed from his PT, read the bible and engaged him as much as possible. When needed, I assisted with showering. I provided respite to his family who lived onsite. I was there when hospice was implemented and my gentleman passed.

I visited this senior for a year and half. He was very mobile and active, however, he had dementia and diabetes. I prepared healthy meals, did light housekeeping and medication reminders. I assisted in transporting to doctor appointments, social events, banking and grocery shopping. Together, we hiked 3 to 6 miles once a week at a county park and always walked in his neighborhood if weather permitted. We played games, listened to music and kepted busy while maintaining mental stimuli. I found creative ways to keep him active and we had a great bond. I am currently "on call" as a "fill in care provider" for this senior.

To be a caregiver is all I've ever wanted to do, I feel like I was born to be a caregiver. And I really love to communicate with elders. I can learn more life experience from them. Also I will be happy when I have the ability to bring some comfort to the elderly, that's so wonderful to see the smile on their face.
