My name is Gayle Lusk but I go by "Lisa", I have lived in Auberry for many years and very proud of my community. I am a compassionate and caring person. My main priority is to my clients. I have been taking care of the elderly, special needs, adults & children for over 30 years. I have a big heart and I always make my clients very happy. The best part of caring for someone is seeing them laugh and enjoying my time with them. I have worked for Foothill Elementary School since 2019 and I enjoy working with the children and watching them grow. I prefer not to work weekends but in a pinch, I would. My life has always and will be about taking care of people. I have been this way since I was very little. I am a certified nursing assistant. I have been in the caregiving field for over 3 years. I love taking care of the elderly. My passion about my work is knowing I'm doing something to make a difference in someone's life. I can complete all activities of daily living for someone.

I understand the frustration and limitation sometimes life brings upon us and am always willing to help to make things easier and a bit more tolerable when possible. I understand the need to trust somebody with your family member, myself took care of my mother for several years until her last days while I was working a full-time job in Peru, I just move to the country to start a new life and I excited to help with anything your family member needs from companion, to help cleaning, cooking, maintenance the house like plumbing, painting, gardening and anything I can do for your family member to make him or her comfortable in his/her own home. I am fluent in Spanish and I speak basic English.

I went into Chiropractic because I wanted to share knowledge with people that I had gained over the years pertaining to natural healing. When my father died, and being an only child, I knew my mother would sooner or later need my help. I lived with her in her apartment for 9 years, preparing all the healthy food she preferred. I did the cleaning, the laundry and some of the bathing, driving her to Fresno to medical appointments. I have a friend right now who is becoming disabled. I bring him food, make fresh juices, and will soon take himbto town for cataract surgery.

I have been a caregiver off and on for the last 25 years. I have experience with in-home care, housekeeping, meal prep, bathing, ambulatory care, medication reminders, low mobility care and much more. I am an artistic person who loves to be with my kids and my grandchildren. I enjoy reading and visiting with friends. I have always felt that senior care is my calling and feel most fulfilled when I am helping others live enjoyable, independent lives.

My love and compassion for others have always been a strength of mine which makes me stand out as a caregiver. I started off by babysitting children, I took care of my nieces and nephews and along with them I started babysitting their friends and a mother from one of the children wanted me to care for her grandmother, since then I realized caring and nurturing is my passion. Being able to help as much as possible to the ones who need it most brings me joy. Everyone is caring for the children that I feel like our elders are pushed aside .. My compassionate, loving, caring yet strong personality makes me a great caregiver.
