I care about people. I want them to live their best, mostly independent, dignified, fulfilled & happy lives. I seek to provide regular support while offering companionship. I am wired for nurturing service and administration. These traits make me a strong candidate for caregiving positions, especially where varied needs are to be met. The ideal candidate would ask me to offer companionship while encouraging activity/recreational opportunities. I would love to be able to assist with transportation to various activities/appointments; running errands; and meal planning/prep; and social interaction. I will perform light housekeeping, but I am not seeking a full housekeeping position. I will help navigate some personal care, but I am not licensed/qualified to provide in-depth home health services or to handle significant personal hygiene care. While not in any "formal" capacity, I have been caregiving for 30+ years. I have successfully raised 4 children as a stay at home mom - while running a successful in home child care business. I have offered a wide-ranging variety of help to friends/family through the years. My best caregiving accomplishment was helping my friend during her cancer journey...now that I am retired from full time administrative employment - I wish to do more of "that" for others.
