I have been a caregiver since 2009. I have a great passion for taking care of others and have spent most of my working career doing so. I have extensive experience in almost every area providing care for this population. I have worked with a variety of Alzheimer's and dementia clients as well as Parkinson's, MS, Diabetes, severe respiratory issues, Huntington's disease , cancer and those on hospice all which include many different special needs. I have a degree in Psychology from CSUS that I earned in 1983. If there's something new I'm not familiar with, I'm more than willing to learn. I love to cook and most likely can make almost anything up on request. I'm always willing to do house cleaning and laundry. I take pride in my work and always go above and beyond what is expected of me. I enjoy conversing with those I provide care for, they always have such interesting memories and history. My mission is to always treat my clients with the compassion, respect and dignity they deserve. I also work at the San Juan Unified School District with Autistic preschool children which requires much energy, patience and understanding. I am also fully vaccinated. With my expertise, guidance, compassion and respect I have helped the elderly and other adults to maintain as much independence as possible by providing appropriate in home care assistance, companionship, personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, transportation, housekeeping and an enjoyable lifestyle. In doing so I have found such joy and passion as I have helped people grow old with dignity, pleasure, and a sense of purpose and managed to lift spirits, not only of the person in need, but of the family caregivers as well.Minimum of 5hrs, Rates 8hours and above is $15/hr Any thing less is $20 per 24 is negotiable
