I am in my late fifties and am an Army Veteran . It makes me reliable. I enjoy the the flexibility in scheduling as a Professional Caregiver. I am also the Dad of a teenage daughter, I am quite proud of that. I have experience caring for a close family member with Alzheimer's and Dementia. My skills set include changing incontinence undergarments, assisting the Care Recipient with getting dressed, grooming and body cleaning. Lifting the Care Recipient out of bed without a Hoyer Lift and placing into a wheelchair. Feeding the Care Recipient, assisting the Care Recipient with walking with the aid of a walker and safety belt. Playing assorted games with Care Recipient to keep them engaged. I am also an experienced Cook and Housekeeper. At this time I am only taking on new Care Recipients from the East Bay.

I'm a loving and a Compassionate person. I give my all in everything i do in life. I'm respectful, trustworthy and Honest. I"ve been a caregiver for over 20+ yrs no criminal History, High School grd.with some college. Nothing feeling better then giving back to those who have giving to you.

Personally to be a successful caregiver I feel you have to be very dependable, my clients know that I'm willing to do anything to make sure they are happy & satisfied with my work. Confidence is important as well, making your client look & feel good about themselves is something I always strive to do! As a caregiver, provider , and advocate of the disable community for the last 12 years my role is very fulfilling , I'm a very outgoing ,passionate , reliable worker who keeps a positive motivating attitude . Having the capability to care for others has always been rewarding for me being able to build longtime , trust worthy relationships with my clients and families is a great feeling this isn't only my job it's a career that I enjoy .

I've completed training in the following courses through The Public Authority of Santa Clara County, Last phase of life, mental health, nutrition, personal care, pre-paramedical, Alzheimer's & Dementia Basics, first aid, diabetes, and CPR, to name a few. Being the oldest, and only girl of 4, I Inherited the role of caregiver at a very young age. I started as a babysitter and later in life gravitated towards adult care. I have remained a caregiver because I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world and hearing their lives experiences, their knowledge, and the wisdom they often share. For me, there's no greater satisfaction than going home at the end of my workday knowing that my presence made a difference in someone else's day and that I am appreciated.

All my clients told me that I'm Simply Amazing... Helpful and Open minded... with Sense if Humor... I'm happy when I know I'm helping people specially seniors... maybe it's my nature because I feel it inside my heart, this is my purpose here on Earth... I been to Israel working as a Caregiver for 8 years and 5 months and Proud being a Caregiver, helping elderly, and also I can help my family specially those time when my parents still alive... And because of my work, I had an opportunity to come here (U.S.A.) and got my PR and work as a Caregiver too and have a chance to extend my ability by helping people who needs me. I'm currently 24. I graduated 2017 from a music/business college in Pasadena ca. I have my Associates degree now. I'm currently have a cleaning business and I also am a caretaker for children including my twin sisters whom have autism. I love helping people and serving my community, especially people who are elderly, less fortunate, or disabled, that's definitely one of my passions! My mom has an agency for adults who are disabled and she has been doing this since before I was born. I learned from a very young age how to take care of people who are mentally or physically I'll, or disabled by certain experiences I've had with her clients. I also helped take care of my grandma years ago up until she passed from cancer. Shortly after when my grandpa was sick I took care of him up until I left for college. When I graduated college he got sicker, So I back in Oakland take care of him and unfortunately he is niw deceased. I also took care of my mom while she was battling cancer and she passed a few years ago, she was my grandpa's original caretaker but I took over after she passed. One of the best achievements I'm proud of is saving my grandpas life by changing his diet and staying on top of his meds, he almost passed in December of 2017, he did a whole he did a whole 180. The doctors gave him a certain amount of time to live but he did surpass it. He wasn't walking or talking, and being tube fed. His conditions were diabetes and congestive heart failure, but my sister and I did research on his condition, hired him changed his got him in physical, and speech therapy. He eventually was able to stop the tube feedings and eat regular food. Since I know a lot about health and certain health conditions that others might not know about I like to share my knowledge and help save lives the best I can. Some of my dreams are to own multiple businesses serving the community and to be a singer.

I've spent the last 15 + years caring for my teenagers, their friends and their schools. if there was a place to help out I was usually there, and often stayed for years. my work experience is mostly in office administration, but this is not what I want to return to. I studied to be a drug and alcohol counselor, but would like to be able to help others as well, so I am looking into caregiver work. I would like to do something meaningful, and that I enjoy. I am a quick learner, and always up for a challenge. I have a ton of patience that I have developed over the years. I love learning new things, and I love helping people. I have 20+ years of experience in the healthcare industry specifically in the role of caregiver. I've always had a love of taking care of people. My earliest memories Consisted of playing hospital with my Barbie dolls and pretending to take care of them as if I were in a real hospital setting! I would bathe them, dress them, administer injections etc. That love stayed with me throughout my childhood to present day. Although I've gone to school and acquired all of the proper credentials needed to work in hospitals etc., I missed that special feeling you get via the relationships and bonds that developed when giving one on one care to a client which I felt was lacking in the hospital setting. I am at my happiest when I am able to bring a smile to my clients face through the services that I provide for them personally and I really enjoy providing companionship as well. When my dad fell ill, I gave up everything to focus on taking care of him personally. In addition to the clinical portion of caring for him we watched TV together, shared deep conversations and stories of his childhood and mine, I prepared his favorite meals etc. And when it was my dad's time, I walked away from it with life long memories that I have passed along to my children who I hope will pass it on to their children and so on!
