Full and focused psychiatric and medical assessments in the inpatient setting. 25-30 patient units, 18 years and up.1-6 patient to RN ratio. Interdisciplinary team communication and management, daily treatment team meetings. Psychiatric medication administration, routine and emergent. Monitoring for side effects. Documentation and utilization of Cerner charting system. Admission, Emtala, discharge, and transfers. Emergency code blue medical and psychiatric code green interventions, including seclusion & restraints. Facilitate/assist psychiatrist-patient assessments. Medication lab monitoring, urinalysis with drug screen monitoring. COVID isolation/quarantine protocols and patient advisement. De-escalation for psychiatric crisis intervention utilizing CPI.
