I first started as a care provider for developmentally disabled teenagers, in 1996. I worked in this position for about 3 years, until I was hired directly by a private home business gentelman who offered my a position as a home supervisor for a new adult residential facility. I worked for him about 3 years as well. During this time, I became a certified Adult Residential Administrator, and gained experience not only caring for the residents, but understanding there life style and daily needs. A while later in life, I was hired as a caregiver to assist senior, and although somewhat different to the population I was used to working an caring for, I enjoyed the change very much. I quickly picked up the knowledge of caring in a compassionate manner and assisting an elderly. I very much enjoy listening and leaning form the numerous stories I have been told while caring for clients. Throughout all of the years I have worked as a caregiver, I have grown my knowledge and experience. I also graduated as a medical assistant in 2013. I am now a 45 year old woman with about 12 years of experience and I am still enjoying what I do... and feel strongly about my job performance.
