I enjoy working and motivating others. Also, I am a compassionate person. I became attracted to caregiving after seeing the pain others go through with chronic illness. Seeing others become successful or feeling good about themselves despite their illness. My proudest achievement is helping my mom quit smoking after 40 plus years. Another proud moment is helping my nephew lose his fear of swimming pools and learn to swim. Helping my grandson become more outgoing and less shy around strangers. My husband had a chronic condition which required him to change his diet. He refused to change his diet until I kept reminding him how important it is to change his eating habits. It took a long while for him to change his diet, but I convinced him after a long period. It made me feel good, I could help make a difference in his health. One day, I convinced my grandmother and grandfather to go fishing and to the casino, with my mom and I. They had a wonderful time despite their apprehension about going into a casino. My aunt had not fished since she was a child and she had a wonderful time. It was memorable for me to see everyone happy and enjoying themselves.
