Growing up my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer and felt very useless as I was not able to get a job at the age of 9 so a way I was able to help and contribute was to help take care of her. It was a very hard time for our family as my dad had to work to help maintain my siblings, as well as my mom. After a couple years of taking care of my mom she started to get better, to the point where she eventually beat cancer! Knowing that I was apart of her journey, seeing her at her lowest to now a strong individual fascinated me and encouraged me to see other families happy with there loved ones. Being a part of someone's recovery journey is the best feeling ever!
