My medical experience while with the US Army covers the entire range for Army medics. From elderly patient care at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) too combat deployments with the mighty 4th and 1st Infantry Divisions. While at BAMC I learned that I had a knack for being effective with elderly patients which made the year I spent doing so fulltime rewarding. What I remember doing that helped the most was just sitting and talking with my patients!
