When I look back at my parents,who are of late,taking care of them during their old age,till end of life,even without any formal training, this made me to have that love and passion working with the elderly (Geriatric nursing).I now went for a formal training to have my license as a CNA/GNA and HHA.This not withstanding,as a mother, an educator,I have the enthusiasm and motherly love working with autistic children,children with special need,direct support personnel (DSP) department of disability administration (DDA) and hospital for sick children (HSC).With the 7 years of experience and the in-service training i have done.I believe I can do better if I am giving the opportunity to work within my scope of competence.I am licensed in Maryland,D.C. and Virginia as a certified nursing assistant, (CNA),Geriatric nursing assistant( GNA) and as a home health Aide (HHA) I am limited to work closed to my area in D.C and MD . I do medication REMINDER and SUPERVISION ONLY,with GOD being my helper.

It was not easy when I first started but I like the fact that caregiver needs patience to care for his or her client, which has helped me in my personal life. I have work as a caregiver for five years and I love this job because of how I put smile on people face, helping people in their daily lives. I have work with clients with Alzheimer's, Parkinson, Dementia, Stroke, Diabetes, Cancer and a lot more. I am also interested in furthering my education and becoming a nurse practitioner.
