I am 26 years old with 2 children and my husband is retired military. To give you an idea of where I came from and who I am- As a child I grew up around an uncle who needed constant care. I watched nurses in and out, from the time I was 3 years old, taking care of his needs and helping him, simply live. Eventually, I took on that responsibility, at 16 I decided to go into the medical field by starting as a general doctor's assistant in Greenville, MS. I worked for a nephrologist, Dr. Patel, who helped build me into the caregiver I am today. After high school, I then went directly into doing CNA work and continued throughout the birth of my children. I feel that the moment I walk into a home/room to visit my resident, a smile goes a long way. I have always been known for my super southern hospitality and for my great bedside manner. I always try to remember the values and morals my mother instilled in me (as Her career is private sitting herself) to remember to treat everyone around me, the way I would want my own mother treated. I absolutely LOVE talking and hearing of my residents past, when they were younger, how the world was different and seeing their faces light up, because someone is honestly intrigued of their journey in life.
