I am very compassionate and have the heart to take care of individuals like they are my family. I work well independently, I am very caring and willing to help them keep their dignity. I am very pleasant to be around, great communication skills and I like to leave knowing I made a difference or made them smile while I was in their presence. What attracted me was when my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and she needed 24 hour care. Just the look of happiness to know that someone cared to provide care for her was all I needed to know this is what I wanted to do. My personal achievement is being able to use what I am learning in nursing school to my job. My resident was confused for a few days and acting out of character and I told them to check for a urinary tract infection and that is what she had.
