I love being a caregiver i started in this field in high school. My father was sick and i always promised him that i would take care of him until he pasted aways my mother who did not raise me but i love her and i am also her caregiver even though i had to place her into a nursing home. I love doing what i do and also went to school for medical assistant and multi-skilled tech i am a hard worker and im planning on in the near future to futher my health care career to be a RN.

I 've provided these services privately and through agency placement as well as under various Medicaid Waiver and Public Partnership Programs which provides assistance to the elderly and disabled low income. My clients ages 40 through 90's with various illnesses and disabilities including Alzheimer's Dementia, Stroke Paralysis, Diabetes, Parkinson's Disease, Huntington 's Disease, Incontinence both bowel and bladder assisting those with Foley, Supra Pube and Colostomy Care.. Duties including Full Hygiene Care, Dressing Assistance, Transfer Assistance ( Hoyer Lift) Medication Management, Meal Preparation(Excellent Cook) Also Special needs diets ex: low salt, diabetic, dysphagia, mechanical soft, puree .Full Housekeeping and Laundry Services, Pet and Plant Care. Providing transportation to scheduled Dr Appointment s, Shopping, Pharmacy Pick Up and to any Community-based activities per the request of the client or family. I cherish long term friendships, with many of the clients and or families that I have provided services for in the past.
