Hi! My name is Yang Shi and I am from mainland China, I have lived here for 29 years. I had a restaurant business for more than 20 years in Arkansas. Our restaurant got "Top 100 Chinese's Restsurant" award in 2009. I sold the business and property in 2015 and moved to Seattle to be closer to my daughter while she goes to college at the University of Washington. I returned to China last year to take care my parents for several months before I started to work at the Fred Meyer. I accompanied my parents reading, writing, and talking, reminding them to take medicine, and prepared them meals. That was a very sweet and unforgettable time. After moving to Seattle I worked at the Norse Home in Greenwood serving the elderly community. I also spent time working as a caregiver for an older woman with dementia for several months; I prepared her meals and assisted her to the bathroom and shower and helped her keep her exercise and medicine schedule and maintained the housework. I know how to take care of older people , according to my working and living experience . I love people , love animals, love trees, plants and nature. I understand how important honesty and love is in my life. I am very confident I will do a good job at being a caregiver.

My motto is always treat client the way I would want my parents or myself treated.Respect the fact I am in their home and include family members in care decisions. I wanted to be a nurse from time I was 8 yrs old and soon as I finished high school went into medical profession and feel I have a positive and compassionate personality . I have over 40 years experience with many letters of reference and awards as a caregiver such as employee of month/year. I love caring for others especially dementia/Alzheimer's as my grandfather was such a person 40 years ago. I love giving people a chance at a Good quality of life no mater what their diagnosis,Hold the hand of a person as they are slipping away and being a comfort to their family because caregiving is caring for family as well in being supportive. I remain like family to all my past clients family. My best achievement is making a time in someone's life which is hard better because I was there. I am CPR/first aide certified and have a level 2 background check. I am Covid Vaccinated since May 17,2021 with proof.
