Mr. Jackson is a permanently disabled WII vet by combat, 90% deaf and dietetic with 2 service dogs. 3 days a week and sometimes a day on the weekend. •Prepare breakfast, also get lunch or dinner around for later in the day, •take pups out, •feed them, •get him up, remind about meds, take vitals daily [he's dietetic] •go with him to doctor appts. •grocery shopping, •go on walks ( he would ride on his motorized chair), and of course companionship.

I worked with great line of caregivers. Mr. Ed Butler and his daughter Alley, were the sweetest people I think I'd ever had the true pleasure to work with and for. They truly helped me to see my gift in doing this kind of career. I got work with some remarkable clients and their families. Duties that were with a dementia client; •Start with preparing breakfast, • getting the client up and around, sponge bath, hygiene. •Taking some vitals, •assisting with feeding him, • recording them in a daily journal that has to be handed in at the end of the week, 1 for the client and hospices, the other for RAH. • I also played card games anything to exercise his mind. Take him on walks in his wheelchair, •Escort him to and from the restroom, clean him up and change him if need to be. Sadly they closed their doors in May of 2014... but I continued to work with Mr. Jackson, just privately again.
