I first developed my passion to become a caregiver after being given the opportunity to take care of my great grandmother after becoming very ill. I had to do things I had not known how to do at the age of 18, but from eagerness to learn and wanting her to get better I taught myself and learned new things through observation . Providing medical attention, companion, giving medication, assistance with restorative, lifting, transferring, scheduling appointments, preparing meals, assistance with feeding, and nail/mouth care were the tasks I had to perform to gain wellness for her. I enjoyed everything especially seeing her happy, being the dependency for her when she couldn't do it anymore and seeing her progress to be stable in health made me so happy, it alone was rewarding for me and my family. I admire being a person who can help someone in medical need. It gives me peace at heart to see a smiling face after comforting a patient. I have met, helped, and learned a lot of things while working and studying in this field. I am a high school graduate, mother of three, a CNA, MA, caring, dependable, hard working, flexible, and goal at earning a degree in Nursing. I plan on becoming a good asset to this company to serve and provide care to those who need it.
