I started out working in the kitchen of a nursing home at the age of 16, and really enjoyed meeting the different people that I came in contact with. I realized that I wanted to have a more hands on experience with my clients. I enjoy speaking, learning and most of all helping my patients in every aspect of their lives. I am most proud of being able to be that listening ear, or that helping hand when most people don't have either. Sometimes people just need a friendly ear, or a steady hand to lean on. I don't mind being either and it's a gift I've been given and am proud of. I am a patient person, and just love the rewards I receive from Helping.I am 35yrs old and enjoy this line of work. I've worked in group homes with mentally and physically challenged individuals as a direct care staff and house manager. I believe in helping them feel as normal and accepted as possible. In this society there are not many warm hearts left, and Everyone should feel the power of love and friendship.
