I got started in healthcare at 15 years old. I started by taking care of my mom, as she had mini strokes & had to go to therapy. I would go to therapy with my mom & then help her with therapy at home, then I helped my dad get his stuff ready to go to work every morning. After my daddy left for work I'd take a nap just before going to school. I enjoy being around elderly people, having conversations, helping them with daily tasks & being a companion to them. I've been to school to be a CNA, a Certified Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Tech, Emergency Medical Technician & hopefuly one day finish achieving my RN degree. I'm also a mom of four grown children & I have nine grandbabies. I enjoy taking care of people of all ages. I specialize in caring for people with disabilities & Alzheimers/Dementia disease. I am loyal to my work and dedicated to be the best caregiver for any family.I took my route into the caregiver field because when I worked at APF, I fell in love with assisting the children with the things they could not do for themselves anymore. I enjoy assisting others and making them feel as if they are still independent with everyday life skills. I am most proud of myself for completing my 6 week training at Schmieding & remaining dedicated to help others.

My name is Arbreyonna, I am a nursing student who has been a caregiver for 6 years I enjoy working with older adults, I am afraid of dogs, and have an allergy to cats. My grandparents and my father are the reasons that I chose to become a caregiver and go to nursing school.

I have a genuine care for people, it excites me when someone is able to reach their optima health or maintain a comfortable level of health. This reason alone is one of the reasons I have been successful in the nursing program I am currently attending. I am an honest, giving, and selfless being, who has had numerous clinical hours dealing with patients with various disease processes, I am knowledgeable and competent when dealing and intervening with different patients and their care needs. A personal achievement that I am proud of is the fact that I just completed my first year of nursing school, next year I will graduate with Bachelor's in the Science of Nursing and I will be an RN. I currently have my Bachelor's in Psychology already.
