Hello, My name is Octavia Mcleod I'm 34 yrs of age and I'm blessed to have three beautiful children. One of kids which is 12, he really is my nephew but I raised him as my son since birth. He is the reason I'm currently in the care giving field. He has hit my a motor vehicle and required years of nursing, therapy, 24 hour around the clock care due to severe traumatic brain injuries he was left with. He was only 4 at the time so this has not only became a job to me it became a passion to me to care for not only him but others as well. I had in house RNs in my house for 5 years until I requested to care for him myself. Being a caregiver provides families with extra support for their live ones especially when families have jobs and families of their own and don't have the extra time to care for a love one that really needs that extra care and love. Being a caregiver allows me to give, love, support, help, and comfort and for that I feel accomplished every day when I come home to my family, knowing I have do those things for someone whom may not have that.

My name is Desirae Ashlee Evors I had a grandmother with Alzheimer's,Dementia and Parkinson's disease. I took care of her such as bathed her did her hair and cooked for her as well as cut up the meats that she ate. I also did her makeup if she wanted it and cleaned up after her. I used to work at a nursing home which I took care of 11 people by myself over night and during the day.

My mother has been sick since I've been a child. From caring for my mother at a young age, I grew to love caring for others and their needs. I've assisted with other clients and my own child with hydrocephalus until June 2022 when he passed.

I've always been interested in healthcare and taking care of the elderly. They have so many great stories and memories to share, plus taking care of them reminds me of when I did it for my own grandpa! I loved being able to care of him in his own home! I've worked will all different levels and types. I've worked in assisted living facilities, memory care locked units for the dementia and Alzheimer's patients and have also done a lot of in home health care which I love the most! I'm a very patient, caring person that will take care of your loved one just like I would one of my family members!

I've been a caregiver for about seven years dealing with many different cultures. What I love so much about being a caregiver is helping people that can't or no longer help themselves. While being a caregiver I've learned that every clue has different needs which I'm comfortable with. Also I've private sat with an ALS patient caring for her day and night that required lots so it's basically nothing I can't do.
