I am compassionate and empathetic. I genuinely care for my fellow man. I am a good listener who pays attention to detail and I'm self-sufficient. I've completed training in the following courses through The Public Authority of Santa Clara County, Last phase of life, mental health, nutrition, personal care, pre-paramedical, Alzheimer's & Dementia Basics, first aid, diabetes, and CPR, to name a few. Being the oldest, and only girl of 4, I Inherited the role of caregiver at a very young age. I started as a babysitter and later in life gravitated towards adult care. I have remained a caregiver because I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world and hearing their lives experiences, their knowledge, and the wisdom they often share. For me, there's no greater satisfaction than going home at the end of my workday knowing that my presence made a difference in someone else's day and that I am appreciated.

I am able to work with different types of patient. I have a 25 years of experience as a care giver. I worked at Stanford Hospital and Los Gatos community hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant. I also worked at home care settings doing personal care, hospice care, and oncology. What makes me a great caregiver is because I am simply: Patient, compassionate, attentive, dependable, and trustworthy.

I am an RN of 35 plus years, I also work on staff as a Massage Therapist for a local fitness/ rehabilitation facility- I have a long background in hospital based Acute Care. In recent years my focus has been on eldercare, Hospice, home-care. I consider myself to be a calm, easy, cheerful- hands on care provider. I enjoy using my skills, training- I am able to provide simple or more involved care in the home- simple monitoring to assistance with daily life/ personal care. I like to provide individual care to both my client and their surrounding environment- keeping both clean, organized and comfortable. My assessment skills, training and experience assist me to determine, with the input of the client and family -what the current needs are, and then provide effective solutions and specific care that fits the client and their situation. I also believe in clear communication, so that all are working together towards whatever goal is desired-and whether that is increased independence, rehabilitation, post op recovery, or simply easing distress and assisting w basic activities of daily living, comfort care. In this current climate- I have a strong background in infection control- personally I have been maintaining self isolation as is possible- limiting my interactions/ contact with others to only what is necessary- I use a secure mask to interact- and standard cleaning/ hand washing protocols when interacting - References upon request . Hi! My name is Nikki I am 25 years old, I graduate in May with my AA in health science. I plan on transferring to SJSU to get my BSN. What attracted me to be a caregiver is my passion for helping others and helping me gain more day to day knowledge on my way to my future career.

I became a caregiver because the profession I wanted to become is to be a nurse. I am a great caregiver because I am a compassionate and kind person. I give my more than 100 % excellent care with my clients and they can feel my sincerity and warmth caring for them. Their family have assurance that their loved one's are in good hands when they leave. Working in a hospital setting with different culture diversity, I have learned to know what they need and respect their culture. The patients that I have taken care of loved me for they know that once I am on duty they know that they would be happy and satisfied with their care. I learned how to handle different temperament of elderlies, some are difficult but with good communication skills and explaining to them that the care I am giving them is for their own good and to get a positive result. Being recognized and commended by my co-workers, superiors and families of my patients of how great I worked is rewarding that motivates me more to deliver excellence of what I do. I was awarded as employee of the month in our unit. I am a very caring person and can easily get along with co-workers, patients and their families. Hardworking individual and can get the task done in a timely manner with positive result. At the end of the day, I feel accomplished if I've helped those around me who need me to be there for them whether it be an emotional or physical need. 3. One of my biggest achievements and joys was being able to be there with both of my parents at the end of their lives to provide the loving care and meet their every need. Something I will always be proud of is the fact that neither of my parents had to be taken care of by anybody but their daughter. 4. I am a woman who loves to be with her family. I enjoy cooking, gardening, hiking and spending time with my daughters. I am always looking to learn new things because I have a strong belief that it's important to keep learning to stay young. One of my learning adventures included becoming a state certified ombudsman and using that talent to visit local nursing facilities. The more I spend time in these nursing homes, the more I want to help the elderly be able to stay in their homes and receive care in their own environment.

Even Currently I am working as covid tester I am a compassionate individual who enjoys providing exceptional care to people of different ages. It gives me great satisfaction to help someone, and the job enables me to bring a positive change in the lives of my clients

I became a caregiver because I love to work with seniors because my grandpa and my great grandma was in a place and I would always stop by and help care for them alone I did community service at a senior living place in Tracy and I was there for about a year and it was amazing to work with seniors also I love to care for others. I enjoy helping them, playing games with them making sure they eat there food in all reality I just love to help them out.
