Making a difference in people's lives has been a passion of mine. My family owned a Nursing Home/Home for the Aged for 36 years. This is were my passion for taken care of people was instilled in me. I worked as a caregiver, cook and handled recreation programs for our residents. Throughout the years I worked for Connecticut Hospice, The Alzheimer's Resource Center, and as a Private Caregiver for children and adults. I had the honor of caring for my Dad and both my Grandmother who all had Alzheimer's. There are many types of Dementia. Training and knowledge is important to understanding the needs of your love ones and clients you care for. This past December I completed training courses for The National Caregiver Certification Program, Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia and 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's. These certification courses provided me with new ways to communicate with Dementia clients. I make sure the things that are most important to my client are done every shift. This is achieved by asking your priorities, then once they're completed if time allows I do my best to tackle the non-priorities. Compassionate, reliable, punctual, treating everyone with dignity and respect are values I live by.

My level of expertise is like no other; Effortlessly, I always go above and beyond for my clients. Ever since the age of five years old when my Mom asked me what I wanted to become and my answer was "Mom, I want to be a Doctor because I want to take care of old people and I love them" and of course she laughed. Years later I ended up in numerous occupations, but at the end I found my way back to nursing (smile)- Need I say more? It gives me great pleasure to listen to the elderly. Moreover, their stories are precious and rare each unique experience that "cannot" be replaced (priceless commodity) and most importantly the joy and knowledge it gives me deep within (humbled). Looking back on all my choices I can honestly say that I have no regrets; Especially, since it has mold my life and made me who I am today. My mother would have been proud of me when I achieved my licensed (CNA) and knowing that it does not stop there since I was already enrolled in a nursing program in College and eventually I will go back since I took a long break after she passed. In conclusion, I love what I do and work for me is (never) work since my passion is caring for the elderly (smile)-

1. I love providing home care giving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel i have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people in need, so I know I am doing right thing. 2. Being a caregiver for 13 years has helped me in so many ways, I have worked in hospitals (South Africa), nursing home facilities, private duty. I love what I do in helping each client I've ever worked with. Taking care of sick people that needs my help gives me joy in my heart and it let me know they need people to work with them. 3. Everything i put my mind to, I achieve I'm really self motivated I don't like failing and that's the benefits for me. My biggest achievement I'm proud of is moving here in America. 4. I have a passion for putting others first. Seeing someone with an intellectual disability able to lead a happy, safe and fulfilling life is enough to make it all worthwhile. I'm a hard worker with a positive attitude. When I was seven years old, I always wanted to be a Nurse.

I am a great caregiver because I am compassionate & dependable I enjoy helping others who aren't able to care for there self , I enjoy being a caregiver most because it allows me to meet different variety of people and having one on one time making them feel good about them selves. I am proud to call myself a caregiver who has lots of patience.

I am patient , loving and giving, I like working with people and taking care of people. I am one of those people you can call the people 's person. I like being able to help people who are not able to do things for themselves it makes me feel good. I'm a caring and compassionate caregiver. I've been assisting the elderly for over 20 years. I've worked in a private and professional settings caring for clients/patients with dementia, heart disease, Parkinson, pulmonary disease, stroke and more. I've assisted with basic companionship to total care which includes activities of daily living "ADL's" bathing, dressing, shaving, feeding, errands, meal prep, medication management etc. I love and enjoy my profession working with my clients. Most of all I enjoy the history lessons, music and classic movies. By the end of my shift, I aim to ensure that my clients are happier, healthier, safe and comfortable.

I've been doing this since I was 18 years old. I love to take care of the elderly. . Autistic Hospice It's been a blessing to be in this field for so long that inspires me to do it more and more. . As I know one day imma need a caregiver and I hope they'll be just like me loving caring respectful and always have a smile on their face. To make my patients happy and comfortable and have them feel.That didn't lose all their independence. Take them out. I'm a very outgoing caregiver that cares more about how the residents is feeling and the comfortability than my own!
