Hello my name is Tekela. I have been providing exceptional caregiving for 26years. I have worked in group homes, assisted living, hospice, memory care and home care. I am a Certified Home Health Aide and Personal Care Assistant Care. I have completed Phlebotomy training and Medication training. I am certified in CPR and First Aide and I have a current tuberculosis test, which is negative. I have completed several inservices and assessment trainings. I have set up and ran various blood pressure and osteoporosis clincs. I have also received the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccination.

I simply became a caregiver because I like to help! I feel rewarded at my job if my client s are taken care of and prospering.

I love caregiving because it's such an intimate friendship that you get to build with others in our community and it has impacted and inspired me in a positive and powerful way. I started caregiving to help my mom pay bills when I was 15, and I have yet to look back and regret the time I've gotten to spend with people in their golden years of life. Hello, I have 16 years experience in senior care I love taking care of the Elderly it's my third most favorite thing, First is God and Second is my Family and Friends. I took care of my own Mother when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and I worked too. I have experience in brain injury, Parkinson's, Diabetes, Cancer all types and many more. I can take vitals change a Colostomy bag and empty a Catheter and change if need be, Do a feeding tube and a Hoyer Lift. I am very Compassionate, Trustworthy, and Dependable. One personal achievement I am proud of is helping a young woman overcome her addiction and rebuild her life. It was a long and challenging journey, but seeing her come out on the other side, happier and healthier than ever before, was incredibly rewarding. It only reinforced my belief that being a caregiver is truly my calling.

Because I care, I enjoy what I do and my job is still fun the different personalities makes it that much interesting and the history that goes with each person makes it personal. I realized that every one has a story to tell and I love listening. I enjoy being able to be an extension for the person l work for, that extra pair of hands or that extra set of eyes whatever it is to make their life a little bit better. My most proudest moment was learning how to drive. I alwas doubted that I would ever learn how to drive but 22 years later I'm the best driver in know. I'm the kinda person thats a cheerleader l believe that my only barrier s are the ones that I create for my self. So l tell my self that I can do it, or that or I can make it happen and I do.
