I helped take care of my father, who had Parkinson's for almost 20 years before passing away. My mother started showing signs of dementia shortly after his passing. I helped take care of her until she moved to Des Moines where she now gets full-time care. I enjoy seeing Mom on the weekends but also like visiting and helping her neighbors in memory care.
