What makes me an excellent caregiver? I've spent many years working in hospitals and cancer patients, physicians offices, nursing homes, and private home care. The many teams I've worked with and amazing patients with so many varied needs have only strengthened my desire to care for others! I treat people as I would want to be treated...it really is that simple. Kindness, compassion, humor, experience, courage and strength are what I bring to every job.

Just retiring but have special skills that are derived from my previous work history in Aging Programs and Environmental Protection programs in Idaho. Smart, savvy, physically able to work with diverse groups of individuals with a variety of physical and mental challenges. I currently work with a young man in the Boise area with epilepsy providing personal care support 4 days per week during daytime hours. It is a good fit for me as I am very aware of his needs and work with him and his family to give him the care and attention he deserves and needs. I have also been a direct care giver for my father (five years) as he suffered with dementia towards the end of his life. I provided assistance with grooming, toileting, medications, meal preparations, errands, shopping, doctor visits, and general companionship. I am very aware of the affects of dementia on not only the individual but the impact on families and all who are affected. I am punctual, loyal, neat and well-organized.
