I am responsible for the care and well-being of Elderly. With the kind of field I endeavor the sensitivity, giving nature and nurturing desire to help those in need. I am good in giving Patient a bath, dressing them, feeding and overseeing the safety and emotional needs of their charges. The qualities I have as a caregiver is a sense of empathy for those being cared for. Whether I am helping an elderly person with mental disability or emotional problems or incapacitated from surgery. I have sense of personal understanding and connection I considered vital. As a caregiver I understand their charges may feel vulnerable, scared, confused and uncomfortable, and being able to identify and allay these fears can create a sense of calm and trust for those I cared for. Normally patient I care typically lack the ability to be fully independent and self-sufficient, which can lead to frustration and lashing out. Elderly patients who can’t express his hunger or pain verbally or a paralyzed house-bound individual who feels trapped and out-of-control, patience is vital role of my caregiving job. I must separate myself from potential anger and resentment and not take the situation personally, all the while still providing high-quality care services. Elderly people I cared for often take longer than usual to complete simple tasks or routines. I understand there limitations so I tried to help reduce tension in the environment. As a caregiver, I recognize capabilities and encourage self-sufficiency while still providing necessary levels of care and attention. Having realistic expectations about what an individual under my care is capable of can help me provide individualized and appropriate care. As a Caregivers I deal with bodily fluids, wound care, bathing and other personal hygiene routines of their charges. As a caregiver I don’t shy away from delicate situations and works to help those they care for retain a sense of dignity.
