I became a caregiver in 1989 when i became a CNA and once my mother became ill in that same year. She had a stroke and could no longer do for herself. There were times when I had to give her an enema along with personal hygiene care. Prepared meals, cleaned home, took my mom shopping, out to eat occasionally. I find it rewarding to care for someone and making them happy and feel wanted. I cherish making someone feel special because they are. My personal achievement that I am most proud of was to be able to do this for my mom. What makes me proud is making someone else life worth living. I love to talk and very interested in listening to them. I've worked at windmill nursing home in South Holland, Illinois and that gave me a satisfaction, I never knew I could have in life. I am a CNA and I have also worked in the healthcare field for over 30+ years in the business aspect of billing and collection.
