Hi! My name is Kerry, I have over 18 years of experience in healthcare with over 10 of them helping the elderly, disabled, those with dementia & on hospice care. I love to just make my patients lives, day or hour better, easier & happier for them, especially considering when it is not possible for them to be without care & support, & living an independent life on their own anymore. The people I care for are more than just my clients, they become my friends & extended family! I think of how I would want someone to take care of my own parents, & that's how I take care of my clients. Treat people how you would like to be treated is my motto! I love to talk with my clients, listen to their stories, & learn about their lives & what makes them who they are! I'm a CNA (certified nursing assistant), caregiver & a former nursing student (which has given me great training in vitals, medication management, skin & wound care, health assessments without the client even knowing that that's what I'm doing, & I'm extremely comfortable taking them to the doctor appointments to take notes & talk with the staff as needed). And through my past work experience, I've been fingerprinted & have had consistent clear background checks & I've even been checked & cleared through the rigorous scrutiny of DCFS & DHS! I also have a resume, reference list & reference letters readily available upon request! I look forward to getting to know you & your loved one!

Being patient,loving, caring, compassionate, and highly experienced make me a good caregiver. This is what I have been doing before I came to this country. Out of 6 siblings, I was the only one taking care of my Mom with the assistance of my daughter who is now a medical doctor and now in the university pursuing her masters degree in public health here in the U.S. I feel so much comfortable taking of people either young or old. It is my joy to contribute positively to general care of elderly people. I personally relate very well with my client and their families, that most of them treat me like members of their families. I still have contact with most of the families I have worked for. They sometimes take me out for my birthdays celebrations , some calls on my birthdays, some sends messages on my birthdays. I think this a great achievement, because if I did not do good jobs for them, they will not remember me to give me such wonderful honors.
