I have been traveling to my sister's home for a day or two each week following her return home after a hip fracture. She and her husband have needed some additional help with housekeeping and other support. I am a retired, but still licensed, registered nurse. Her insurance will pay for 6 hours of housekeeping and she wanted me to receive something for the services I have provided. As far as I am concerned, the care provided has been a labor of love and it does not matter to me if I receive this compensation or not. I am not interested in doing this for anyone else, as I am 71 and retired. I am pursuing this only at my sister's request.
