What attracted me to be a caregiver is my journey of being a Direct Support Professional has been phenomenal and has gone better than ever expected since I didn't have any previous experience. My time as a DSP has truly been a blessing because it has been the job I have fallen in love with which subsequently makes it feel like it isn't work or a "job." My passion of being a companion and taking care of others minimizes the perspective of it being another job. I'm truly happy with life knowing I'm making a difference in one's life and able to make them feel as if they have family or will finally have somebody that is diligent with them. A personal achievement I'm proud of is I finally know what I want to do in life and my job search has finally come to an end. I'm proud that I have found something I want to stick with.
